Delhi: Bomb Threat at Burari’s Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Mongolpuri
The police have reported that bomb threat emails have been received for the government hospital in Burari and the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Mongolpuri in Delhi.
Following the bomb threats, authorities have reported that police teams, along with bomb detection and de-fusal squads, dog squads, and crime branch teams, have rushed to the hospitals and are conducting thorough searches of the premises. The threats were received via email for the government hospital in Burari and the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Mongolpuri in Delhi. The operations are currently underway to ensure the safety of patients, staff and visitors at these medical facilities.

However, the police have stated that no suspicious items were found inside or outside the hospital buildings. The operations were carried out to ensure the safety of patients, staff and visitors at these medical facilities after the threats were received. Authorities have reported that the situation is now normal at both hospitals.
In a concerning series of events, over 100 schools in Delhi recently received bomb threat emails, which were found to have originated from a server of a Russian company. Following this, 10 schools in Ahmedabad also received bomb threat emails. However, the police had clarified that these were hoax threats.
The latest bomb threats received via email for the government hospital in Burari and the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Mongolpuri, Delhi, seem to be a continuation of these disturbing hoax threats. As per the reports, police teams, along with bomb squads, dog squads, and crime branch personnel, rushed to both hospitals and conducted thorough searches inside and outside the premises. Thankfully, no suspicious items were found.
While the situation is now normal at the two Delhi hospitals, the recurrence of such threatening hoaxes is extremely concerning and disturbing for the authorities as well as the public. Investigations are likely ongoing to identify the perpetrators behind these disruptive threats and take strict legal action against them.
